DISCO is an acronym for Distributed Information Systems for Command Control and Communication. The primary purpose of DISCO Open Source is to develop free and open source software for search and rescue, disaster relief and other humanitarian organizations. The development is community driven and focuses on development of decision support in the domain of assignment planning and allocation processes.
